Great Diversity

 Diversity is what makes New Orleans unique and full of culture.  Blacks are the majority due to the history of New Orleans with slavery, but the other minorities have also landed in this great city.  They have enriched New Orleans with each of their cultures influences.  Making New Orleans full of life, celebrating culture which has formed New Orleans great diversity.

New Orleans was founded by a French King who later gifted New Orleans to his cousin who was British so New Orleans became Spanish.  This is the beginning of the mixed influences in New Orleans.  

Many others began to come and settle in New Orleans from Africa, Haiti, Caribbeans, Jews, Italians, and Irish just to name a few.  With all these ethnic groups coming for many years came many traditions.  These traditions and ways of life were mixed together creating the diversity we see today.
